So...yeah.

Size 8T...smallest available.
Uh huh...That first resolution of mine is going swimmingly. Not. But there's still blogging happening at Casa La Parrott...Matt decided to pen to paper--er, fingers to keyboard--to share his enthusiasm for cooking with the rest of the world, and he's become somewhat of an overnight sensation 'round these parts. One local restaurant review, and suddenly he's a contributor to the local ABC station's website.

The name of his blog, Some Reservations, is an homage to his culinary idol, Anthony Bourdain. He's so clever, that man of mine. Today's post is a personal favorite of mine...the very best chocolate chip cookies. Go, quick! And please do leave a comment...it's easier to do on his blog than this one, anyway.

Last night we decided to take Paige ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle with YoTrinity (our church's youth group, which Matt leads). This is one of the best winter perks of G.R.: free if you have your own skates, only $1 to rent, music and lighting, and they have those nice training racks for the littles. The only time she cried was because we had to leave.
About to do a triple lutz...Mama does the triple klutz

Not the greatest pics, since you know about my mad skating skillz (this was the first time out since then). When I took over for Matt guiding Paige with the rack, she turned and said "You're really good at this Mommy!" I replied with an astonished "Gee thanks, no one has ever told me that before!"
If only she knew...
