Baby's First Concert

Since 1998 my annual rite to summer has always been a Dave Matthews Band concert, I turned Nicki into a fan in college and we have been going every summer since. This year was no different, we loaded up the car for tailgating headed to East Lansing to pick up some friends and then continued to Pine Knob for the big show. We had a great time, it was one of the best Dave Matthews Band concerts I have seen in 10 years, we got a little storm right in the middle of the show, but it was more refreshing than annoying. The baby was squiggling around all night so she must be a big fan too. We thought Nicki wold be the only pregnant lady there, but that was not the case at all, there were even some toddlers running around and jamming out.

After not having a vacation in almost five years we decided we had better get away for at least a weekend before the baby comes. We decided to go to Pentwater, MI for a long weekend before all the summer crowds came, and it was an excellent choice. We had a great time just cruising around and doing pretty much whatever we wanted, which most of the time was nothing. We had some great meals, Nicki got to do some shopping, we hung out at the pool, and ate ice cream everyday. We really had a great time, we even looked around at real estate so if anybody wants to go in with us on a vacation home, give us a call. This was a weekend we really needed and will remember for a long time, we have already booked our room for next year and plan to make this an annual family trip.
