Forecast: Mostly Showers!

Last weekend was the first baby shower, hosted by Susan, up in McBain. The ladies of the northern Lower Peninsula (need to clarify in respect to our Yooper relatives) have certainly spoiled Baby Parrott! Beautiful hand-made sweaters, blankets, and other wonderful gifts--our dining room (where everything landed) has exploded into what looks like our very own baby boutique. THANK YOU so much!

We also had fun in Lansing at the Lugnuts baseball game, seated on the 3rd base line eating prime rib and ice cream, courtesy of Dad B's company.

The plan for this weekend is to finally put together the nursery. We realize that we're cutting it close, but after all, I am famous for my skills in procrastination. Wish us luck!

Turn! Turn! Turn!

That's the song we'll be singing to Baby Parrott, as we've found out this week that she is now breech. I've been assigned an interesting "knee to chest" exercise which I thought sounded like a simple yoga pose that I'm familiar with, but now realize that it is much more difficult with a little person in the way...and when I try to stay in that position for at least 20 minutes! We're at 31 weeks now (yikes!), but that still leaves time for her to flip herself back around, whether it's with my help or not. I'm sure an entertaining photo of me half upside-down is sure to come. Have a great weekend!

4th of July

Our 4th got of to a rocky start, we traveled to Lansing, MI on the 4th to hang out with some old college friends and blow stuff up. On the way there we picked up a nail in the tire, luckily it was at the end of the trip and didn't notice it until we got to Darby's. We had a great time at Joe and Nora's and are very thankful we still have all of our appendages!!

On the 5th we went to Kevin and Haylie's temporary house, and had a great time. They are currently living in an awesome cottage on Croton Pond. We had a nice dinner prepared by a couple of executive chefs, and just had an all together great time, even Izzo enjoyed himself. Here are some pictures!!
