Easter Greetings!

We hope everyone had a wonderful, blessed Easter! We know we sure did, with a great church service and breakfast, dinner, and gifts left by that old bunny...

Paige had a pretty miserable weekend on Friday and Saturday, as teething is now in full swing. I've never seen a more heartbreaking or longer frown than the one she wore the entire time we were shopping through Cosco Saturday afternoon! We finally let her rub her gums on a cold dill pickle they were giving out at one of the sample booths...surprisingly, she didn't mind the flavor at all!

Sunday was much better (be it sleep-deprived), and she was beaming in her polka-dot dress and white cardigan. Glad it was such beautiful weather, since I could not find white dress shoes in Paige's tiny size 1, so she wore white dress sandals. She took a nice long nap on Great-Grandma's lap during the service (guess who was on Cloud 9?). Some day I'm sure she'll love Easter service as much as I do...is there really any better? The celebration of Good News and reaffirmation of our faith, the flowers, the beautiful music...some of my favorite hymns are Easter ones, and I was so happy to go up to sing the Hallelujah Chorus with the Chancel Choir, since I've been out of choir since Paige was born.

Dinner was at our house, with Grandma and Grandpa Parrott, Aunt Hillarie, Great-Grandma, and Uncle Kevin, Aunt Haylie, and Cousin Cawley, who will be arriving any day! Paige tried out some of her gifts from the Easter Bunny...the "Baby's 1st Easter" onesie was so snug we couldn't even snap it (see the bulging baby belly above), but the sunglasses, toys and books work just fine!

We rounded out the day with a long nap, a walk around the neighborhood, and a phone call to Grandma and Grandpa Buning. It was also Grandpa Buning's birthday! Matt had responsibilities at our church for the Easter festivities, so we were unable to celebrate with him, but hope it was very happy!
